From the time we rented Ledstone house from Ann she became like family ..Every day i would have a cup of coffee with her in the morning then in the evening we would have a sherry ..Ann showed me so much within the gardens and loved spending time with her ..she taught me so much and even taking cuttings and growing them from her greenhouse ..discussing the planting and colours for both gardens ,her knowledge was incredible and I now have a passion for gardening..

Ann loved to take us on drives to show me the area and she did know everywhere ,even down private rds when if someone came out she always talked them around.

Whilst living at Ledstone Ann brought some Alpacas and the children and I halter trained them so we could lead them out , this gave her great pleasure. 

Whenever my dad came over from france Ann would invite him in for a whisky .If Marjorie was staying they would be there for hrs laughing and joking ..They always had the best time and Marjorie like Ann was hilarious and always game for a laugh..Their old stories were the funniest .
